When Brad and I first quit our jobs to become full time Content Creators in 2019 we took a MASSIVE risk. We didn’t have savings, I was still paying off my student loans, and there were a lot of times we really questioned whether it was the right decision to go full time or not. There were even a few times we ran out of money and had to use the credit card to pay for bills, food, and gas, but we were determined to make this Content Creator dream a reality!
Fast forward a few months and at the start of 2020 the world was hit with a global pandemic. Brands were cutting budgets and collaborations were few and far between. Like many people we had no idea where our next paycheck was going to come from.
Fortunately for us, we received a $2,000 tax return, but then we were faced with two options…
1. Do nothing, use that money to pay off our credit card, get regular jobs, and play it safe.Â
2. Invest that money into ourselves and our business and don’t give up on this dream of ours.Â
So guess what we did... Despite an uncertain future and many doubts running through our heads we decided we didn't want to live with a scarcity mindset and that the only way we were going to achieve our dreams was to invest in ourselves.
