How To Get Noticed By Brands

It seems like everybody and their brother are becoming influencers nowadays. Which totally isn't a bad thing! I mean how cool is it that a bunch of us get to live out our wildest dreams and live such a fulfilling lifestyle! What a time to be alive amirite?!
I want to start by saying that abundance is out there! In no way do I think the market is over saturated, there are how many million businesses in the US alone? Not to mention that everyday more and more businesses are switching from traditional marketing to influencer marketing. It's even expected to DOUBLE over the next two years!
If you are telling yourself you can't land a brand deal because of x,y,z then you won't land a brand deal. Living with a scarcity mindset means you believe there will never be enough and as a result, your actions and thoughts stem from a place of lack. But having an abundant mindset is based on the belief that there's more than enough of everything, for everyone.
You think things will work out even if there are bumps along the way. You make decisions based on the Big Picture rather than a single snapshot in time. Changing your mindset can have a big impact on your ability to achieve your goals!
Okay, now for what you all came here to read! What is the best way to get noticed by a brand in a sea of content creators? There are simple things you can do which I'm sure you already know. Work on your feed, be consistent with your posts, show that you have a connection with your audience, but what I'm sharing today is guaranteed to get you noticed!
You want to start by finding the brand you want to work with. (Or if you're already a customer, the first step is to follow them on IG if you don't already) I simply use Instagram as a search engine when it comes to finding a brand that's aligned with my lifestyle. I personally like eco-friendly or natural products so those are the types of brands I look for.
You want your sponsored posts to be authentic and real so don't work with a brand if you wouldn't truly be a customer. To find brands type words like "natural soap" or "water shoes" in the search engine under tags. The next thing you want to do is follow one you really want to work with.
The reason you want to follow them is to start building a genuine connection with the brand. Over the next 30 days like and comment on all their posts, watch their stories, maybe even send them a DM saying you really like their mission, products, whatever. Notice the things they like to post and post similar photos, or if you're already a customer feature the brand organically in your content and tag them!
Following these steps creates a genuine connection with the brand which makes it more likely that they will want to work with you as opposed to someone who just randomly sent them a DM. It's also a great way to increase the chances of a lasting relationship as opposed to one-off deals!
Just so you know, NO you do not have to do this to every brand you work with... that would take an insane amount of time amirite?! This is to better your chances at working with your DREAM brand!
